Relax!
We are clearly not going to change the world; It's not that easy. Communication for social change has become an opportunity to approach problems and do something thoughtfuljointlyto improve the situation.
Although nowadays people romanticize reaching out to a community, everything becomes so 'instagrammable' (and that's not bad: read 'project outreach'), Participatory Action Research goes much further. And of course, communities always find in thelistensthe strongest tool.
